David Summer met with the founders of Inspectrology, discussed their business and determined their immediate web marketing needs. David is familiar with the metrology field; in the past he developed software for a scanning electron microscope.

David used his exceptional copywriting skills to create the copy for the Inspectrology corporate website. This was accomplished based on an interview with Paul Knutrud Co-Founder and Vice President of Marketing and Technology at Inspectrology. David also took pictures of the metrology equipment and parts inventory at the Inspectrology company headquaters for inclusion in the website.

In developing the Inspectrology website, David optimized page titles and descriptions and included educational and industry related material in order to effectively present this innovative metrology supplier to it's best advantage and to positively position the company website in search engine results.

Ed Mascari is an experienced piano teacher and performer who has had his Ed Mascari Piano Studio business website for many years. When Mr. Mascari decided to expand his teaching business, he knew he needed to reinvigorate and add to the content to his website, as well as preset his educational and marketing material in a way that would attract more visitors.

David has partnered with Ed in writing compelling marketing and educational copy for the music studio website. We also added a large amount of new content aimed at increasing the site's visibility in search results (SEO) and making the website more useful for the target audience of musicians and potential musicians.

Being a musician himself, David has been able to assist Ed Mascari in selecting appropriate hardware for capturing live performances. We make extensive use of flash audio players to present MP3 audio files of Ed's performances and his student piano recitals. As a experienced Web Software Developer, David participated in the development of the 3Com corporate website, before 3Com was purchased by HP. This corporate website development project included working closely with the 3Com marketing group in the development of the main company website as well as customer micro sites and email campaign initiatives. David was also able to use his unique combination of communication and technical skills to help facilitate the collaboration between the 3Com marketing and IT divisions.

In addition, David consulted with marketing and IT personal involved in planning 3Com's business podcast initiative. David provided technical advise gained from his own experiences in podcasting and podcast website production. He also setup an initial podcast RSS feed at 3Com and provided advise on effective corporate podcast production and presentation.

Seventh Wave Solutions is a Massachusetts based company that specializes in business performance management assessment and consulting. Their unique approach for assessing business leadership potential and developing talent in organizations is aided by their 720° Edge leadership assessment software. David assisted Seventh Wave Solutions in their development efforts by creating documentation needed to develop their software administration tools.

David met with principals from Seventh Wave Solutions and carefully listened to their project requirements. He was then able to use his technical writing skills to create a comprehensive Requirements Document that clearly specified and explained all software requirements for this administration application. This complete requirements document, with its level of detail and clear explanation of all the software requirements, will help Seventh Wave Solutions develop the software they need to administer their 720° Edge organizational leadership assessment tool.

Twin Coast Metrology is a 3D metrology company that develops systems capable of making the precise measurements required in the assembly of many devices including aircraft parts and other mission critical components.

As a Technical Consultant for GlassHouse Technologies, an IT and data storage company in Framingham, MA, David was responsible for developing documentation and multimedia training materials for employees. These learning tools enabled the integration of Clearspace enterprise collaboration software into the GlassHouse office environment.

Clearspace is online collaboration software that integrates common web communication methods including Wikis, Discussions and Blogs, as well as document sharing and revision control. The written documentation created by David consisted of User Guides and Style Guides that showed software managers and overall users how to setup and configure the software.

David also created a series of focused, effective E-Learning video tutorials to clearly explain how to use the features available in the Clearspace collaboration software.

David consulted with Energy Federation Incorporated, a company specializing in selling energy related products, concerning their business communications needs. The head of the consumer division at Energy Federation, Philip Scarbro, expressed an interest in communicating business information and energy saving tips using an RSS enabled newsletter.

David designed and developed a dynamic newsletter section for the Energy Federation Incorporated company website. In addition to the design and page development work, he also implemented the RSS feed needed to add content to newsreader aggregators.
